Shanghai is shortly called HU locating at north latitude 31°14′east longitude 121°29′.It is at the firth of Yangtze River Delta. To the east is East Sea, to the south is Hang Zhou bay, and to the west are Jiang Su and Zhe Jiang provinces. It is just located at the middle of north and south coastline with a convenient transportation and vast territory. Shanghai is a good port from north to south is 120 kilometers, and from east to west is about 100 kilometers, covering 6340.5 square kilometers, which accounts for 0.06% total area.
In Shanghai, seasons change distinctly. Winter and summer are long while spring and autumn are short. Winter is about 126 days, summer is about 110 days, spring and autumn together is 130 days. Whole year average temperature is around 16℃, it will be the highest 20℃ in July and August, lowest in January about 4℃. Yearly Precipitation is about 1100mm. You can travel all around the year. Spring and summer are the best time for tourism.

Shanghai has international airlines covering 73 countries and areas (Tokyo, Osaka, Nagasaki, Fukuoka, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto, Vancouver, Paris, Moscow, Frankfurt, Sydney, and Amsterdam etc. There are about 62 domestic airlines to Pe King, Guang Zhou and Xi an etc. It has two airports, one is Pu Dong Int’l airport, the other is Hong Qiao airport. At Pu Dong Int’l airport there is high-speed maglev train to city center. Shanghai has perfect transportation network, including buses, metros, and taxies embodying the modern service level.
